Polygon tore into Crimson Desert, not for combat, but for sloppy worldbuilding and anachronistic swearing.
The review from Polygon says Pearl Abyss stitched together a patchwork medieval world with no internal logic: modern curses pepper the dialogue (they even cite coc****gler in the first five minutes), "fuc**ng" is misused, "bastard"/"freak" are applied out of era, religion exists only as window dressing and every character speaks the same. The Witcher 3 imitation lands as straight-up CRINGE 😒
