👀 Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss nails the Lovecraft vibe but arrives with baggage, Nacon and its studio group (including Big Bad Wolf) have filed for insolvency. Can this launch patch their finances? Doubtful.
Critics are lukewarm: 70 on Metacritic (PC) and 72 on OpenCritic; only 35% recommend. Praises: oppressive atmosphere, solid puzzles, visuals, acting, sound and environments. Flaws: persistent BUGS forcing reloads, clunky controls, story-tied QTEs, optional filler systems, annoying backtracking and poor checkpoint design.
