⚖️ Embark Studios is wrestling with its own love of brutal PvP, the team forces itself into being PACIFISTS to keep tests honest.
At GDC producer Kayo Braga explained that the devs behind ARC Raiders, many hardcore PvP fans, use a daily randomizer to flip between being hunters or the community's "care bears." That deliberate role-switching preserves peaceful systems (including the crucial call-to-ceasefire gesture) and, by alternating quests with open-player hunts, helps balance the experience for every playstyle.
