⚠️ Epic Games is laying off more than 1,000 staff, blamed on waning interest in Fortnite and content-support costs eating into revenue.
The move was announced in a letter from Tim Sweeney; he says content costs outpaced income. It's the studio's second big cut in three years, in September 2023 over 800 people were let go. BRUTAL
