⚡️ Gears of War: E-Day is expected this year, but The Coalition chose to release a prequel instead of immediately moving on to Gears 6, actor Liam McIntyre has confirmed.
According to McIntyre, the team feared burnout: building a full numbered trilogy today could take up to 15 years, so E‑Day functions as a deliberate pause to rethink and refresh the franchise. Numbered entries aren't dead, a release date and updates on the Gears 5 finale are likely to be revealed at the summer Xbox Showcase. WILD
