⚠️ Nintendo will split prices for physical and digital Switch 2 games, the change takes effect from May 2026.
First test: a title launching on May 21, digital priced at $60, physical cartridge at $70. Nintendo says the gap reflects manufacturing and distribution costs; retailers can set their own prices. VGC notes some regions (like the UK) already charge more for physical copies, and IGN quotes Nintendo saying it isn't raising recommended physical prices.
