Stop Killing Games

⚡️The European Parliament hosted a hearing on Stop Killing Games, roughly 45 minutes, with industry reps, lawyers and the movement's authors in the room.

Deputy committee chair Nils Ušakovs warned the issue affects millions, possibly hundreds of millions, who could lose access to games they've bought. The initiative's data: of ~400 titles that require a publisher connection, 93.5% become inaccessible once support ends. Founder Ross Scott says publishers can fully shut paid games; the Commission has tasked Giuseppe Abbamonte to map legal gaps. The ask isn't to ban business models but to force companies to keep games working or offer alternative access. GONE.
