⚠️ Nexon admits The First Descendant "has no survivability", CEO Junghoon Lee said that at the financial presentation on 31 March 2026.
After a big 2024 launch the game's Steam peak dropped from 264,000 players to 5,000 and Twitch views collapsed by hundreds of times. Instead of sunsetting it, Nexon plans a radical rebuild: BETA Onslaught Mode this month (permanent in May), and this summer, Karel's finale, a mega‑dungeon and a full weapon rework.
