THE CUBE, SAVE US

XLGAMES announced they'll shut down the TRASH action game THE CUBE, SAVE US in a month, servers and official Discord go offline on 8 May 2026.

Launched on 18 March, the title earned just 19% positive reviews after launch, with players complaining about terrible optimization, bugs and clunky controls. Devs promise automatic refunds on Steam, no claims required. 💀

Starfield

⚠️ After three years as a PC/Xbox exclusive, Starfield has finally landed on PS5 with a massive free update Free Lanes and a paid story expansion Terran Armada priced at $9.99, and players are mostly MEH 😕

Real-time spaceflight now lets you hop between planets without loading screens, the galaxy is filled with new activities and random encounters, and the X-Tech system expands ship and gear customization. New Game+ supports carryover via the Quantum Entanglement Device. Terran Armada follows Shattered Space and gets warm reception, but Steam sits at 79%, so overall a bit underwhelming.

Samson: A Tyndalston Story

The director of Samson: A Tyndalston Story admitted right before launch that the PC release would be buggy; the game went live today. 😬

It's the debut from Liquid Swords, led by Christopher Sundberg, the man behind Just Cause. The studio prioritized crew health over perfect polish: NO CRUNCH, no overtime, no pointless meetings, max effort during work hours, not at the cost of people. Looks like the studio's evening won't be quiet

Crimson Desert

🚀 Crimson Desert hides a way to breach the atmosphere, not a bug, but a discovery by ItemRelocationClub.

Using an infinite-stamina mod and nonstop aerial attacks for 3 hours, players reached orbit and saw the planet's curvature, stars and a local galaxy. It's a technical oddity, WILD how detailed the world is, fueling theories about a possible DLC or groundwork for Pearl Abyss projects, while core gameplay remains surface-bound.

Sea of Stars

📱 Classic retro-RPG Sea of Stars is out on mobile, from Sabotage Studio, published by Playdigious.

You follow Valeri and Zale as they become Warriors of the Solstice, wield sun-and-moon powers and Eclipse magic to face the evil Alchemist, Lord of Flesh. Turn-based combat features combos and timing windows. Local CO-OP and the Throes of the Watchmaker DLC (released on PC last year) aren't included in this mobile release; mobile DLC may arrive later depending on player interest.
