Everwind

⚡️ Everwind got a hefty early-access patch, community-driven fixes, balance tweaks and systemic QoL changes. Some features remain in TESTING: crafting from nearby chests, block rotation while building and fast-travel nav points.

You can now name chests (names show on the compass). Devs reworked reset-potion access, tuned rune balance, added in-game ingot recipes, fixed enemy resistances and block drops, adjusted spells and bumped uses on some staves/grimoires. Also: Island Core UI polish, host/connection fixes (big ships included), multiplayer item spawn fixes and corrected stamina cost on parry in co-op.

Last Epoch

⚡️Dev team for Last Epoch just dropped the lore behind the new Omens in Shattered Omens: void-born entities spawned from moments of crushing despair, tied to the Observer's madness and his transformation into Orobissa. When an Omen appears it spreads hopelessness, nearby enemies get buffs, grow more aggressive, summon void creatures and warp the battlefield. Each Omen is rooted in a tragedy the Observer foresaw and comes with its own damage flavor, there are 4 variants: fire, cold, lightning and void. The reveal expands the world and forces players to actually prep for encounter types. INSANE 😈

Rust

A new update hit Rust: you can turn a water wheel into a makeshift generator and even force enemies to run inside it like hamsters, WILD 🐿️

Added Armoured Ladder Hatch (unlocks at level 3, square and triangle), a river/ocean power source (fresh water is steadier, sea output follows tides), and a reworked tech tree: pick any node, see the full path and the game auto-unlocks all required intermediate recipes. Nice QoL.

Morbid Metal

⚡️Morbid Metal, a fast roguelike slasher from SCREEN JUICE, published by Ubisoft. Early Access drops on 8 April.

Launch price $13.49 (then $17.99); only on Steam for PC, no Russian localization. Swap characters mid‑fight, chain unique abilities, spend neurofragments to upgrade during runs, death wipes the run. Born as a university project; a demo is available. Get ready to SMASH robots apart ⚡️

Dead by Daylight

⚡️ Dead by Daylight won't get a sequel, Behaviour Interactive prefers to keep expanding the live game instead of launching a separate new title.

At GDC studio leads Mathieu Cote and Dave Richard told IGN the sequel idea came up, but they'd rather not force players to start over: people have already spent time and money. The team plans to gradually modernize and "drag" the existing game into the next decade, while being careful with big tech jumps that could leave users with weak hardware behind.

Crimson Desert

Crimson Desert stunned an environment artist from Red Dead Redemption 2, David O'Reilly says its water simulation outclassed his Rockstar work. MIND-BLOWN 🤯

Speaking as a river artist rather than a programmer, he praises natural cascades, eddies and the water's tendency toward a horizontal equilibrium, not baked flowmaps but a live sim reminiscent of FLIP, adapted for real‑time with simplified verticality. Pearl Abyss largely keeps the tech under wraps.

Starfield

🚀 Starfield lands on PS5 on 7 April. On PS5 Pro you get two modes: Visual (4K/30 fps) and Performance (60 fps, resolution not specified); both use PSSR upscaling.

DualSense gets proper love: adaptive triggers convey recoil for personal weapons and ship cannons; the light bar changes color with your health/ship status; the speaker plays audio logs and comms. Touchpad shortcuts, left press: camera, right press: map, hold right: scanner, swipe: open inventory/quests/skill menu depending on swipe direction. Reminder: the Free Lanes update and a paid story DLC drop the same day.

HYKE: Northern Light(s)

⚡️ HYKE: Northern Light(s) just dropped on Apple Arcade, released on 2 April 2026 with almost zero fanfare, a proper SURPRISE for subscribers.

Pixel top-down action-RPG from Blast Edge Games: a war-torn world of humans vs witches. You play young witch Hyke, cruising in her van hunting for her mother. The game already earned good buzz on PC and consoles late last year.

Frédérick Raynal

🎮 Frédérick Raynal launched a Kickstarter for PopCorn: Duel on SEGA Mega Drive, the campaign already has about half of the needed funding.

It's a reimagining of PopCorn (1988) and the cartridge will include three games: the new Duel, PopCorn 1988 (the original port) and PopCorn 2026 (an enhanced edition). The standout is the PopCorn Spinner controller, Hall sensors, roughly 4096 steps per revolution and true infinite rotation (no 270° potentiometer limits), aiming for that ARCADE feel. SGDK compatibility means this tech can be used in other RETRO projects; Raynal says he's happy with the device.
