Take-Two

Take-Two has reorganized its AI division: it fired the head, Luke Dicken, and most of his team.

Most of that team appears to have come from Zynga after the 2022 acquisition for $12.7 billion. Take-Two refuses to comment, likely it's JUST trimming AI investment, especially since CEO Strauss Zelnick has publicly criticized AI. ⚡️

Merlin's Tomb

🪦 Merlin's Tomb, a large free DLC for Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, dropped a new endgame dungeon in Forlorn Swords for level‑75 heroes.

Players must first reunite the King's Soul shards before facing the magic‑corrupted Merlin, devs promise the toughest fight so far. Patch 1.21 landed alongside: armor presets for fast build swaps, softened Mana Shield penalties, Act III rebalance, UI polish and lots of new weapons. This will be BRUTAL.

CD Projekt RED

From hate to love: how CD Projekt RED rebuilt Misty Olszewska into a standout in Cyberpunk 2077

Erika Lindbeck told The Gamer she initially found Misty empty, a throwaway spouting goofy chakra lines while she expected the big part to be Meredith Stout. Devs rewrote and re-recorded the character until they turned her into a softer, Jersey‑style Harley Quinn, a spiritual counterpoint to the cold tech world of Night City. Misty ultimately outshone Meredith and became one of Lindbeck's favorite roles. WILD 🤯

The Last of Us Online

Naughty Dog axed The Last of Us Online to double down on the bald huntress from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, the multiplayer was ALMOST finished after 7 years and at 80% completion.

Ex-director Vinit Agarwal revealed the pandemic blew up the budget and by 2023 appetite for online services cooled, so leadership chose a safer single‑player bet. Agarwal later worked on another unannounced solo project, confirming ND ran several games in parallel. 🤨

Dead by Daylight 2

⚡️ Dead by Daylight 2 isn't happening, project lead Mathieu Côté and Behaviour Interactive confirmed. NEVER

They're doubling down on long-term support: the live game morphed over 8 years from an indie horror into a genre giant, and a numbered sequel would split the playerbase, erase progress and cosmetics, and jeopardize dozens of licensed characters that cost thousands of hours to secure. The studio says engine and graphical upgrades can be done inside the existing client, making a separate "2" technically redundant.

The Division 2

⚡️The Division 2 kicked off the anniversary season Rise Up to mark the studio's 10-year milestone.

Headliner: the new mode Escalation, a HARDCORE endgame gauntlet with 10 tiers, a token system and no checkpoints: one mistake costs resources and progress. Rewards include a new rarity, Prototypes, with unique augments and boosted stats. Meanwhile Retribution was reworked around Black Tusk, clearing checkpoints drops exclusive blueprints and rare raid/DZ exotics.

GDC

⚔️ At GDC co‑founder Eric Chen unveiled Tides of Annihilation, a slick, high‑octane Character Action from veteran team Eclipse Glow Games.

The pitch: not a literal Arthur retelling, the Round Table is a springboard. Protagonist Gwendolyn fights alongside fellow knights; combat is built around team interplay inside a single‑player campaign. Built on Unreal Engine 5, designed to run well on PC/PlayStation/Xbox, with close work with platform holders and new graphics tech. The studio deliberately avoids the current soulslike trend in favor of fast Character Action and aims to launch an original IP for a global audience. HYPE

Slay the Spire 2

⚔️ Deadly duels and quick runs: what's coming to Slay the Spire 2 from Mega Crit?

Co‑founder Casey Yano says the studio is prototyping three experimental modes, a competitive format for RANKED players, a sped‑up short‑run mode for quick sessions, and fresh social mechanics beyond standard co‑op. All features are currently prototypes; only stuff that preserves balance and doesn't bloat the game will make the final cut. Quality over quantity.

Embark Studios

📬 Embark Studios is returning LOOT to ARC Raiders players who lost gear during a 12-hour outage overnight on April 2.

Lost kits, including the new guns Canto and Dolabra, will arrive via in-game mail after mass crashes. Despite being hailed as the Best Multiplayer Game 2025 and selling 12M copies, the Steam population dipped from 250k to 140k. Devs are banking on the April patch Riven Tides (new map + ARC-class boss) to revive raids and the endgame.

Capcom

⚡️ Capcom revealed Ingrid, the FINAL fighter for Season 3 of Street Fighter 6.

The season pass is winding down: players should be able to try Ingrid by the end of spring; the new teaser only shows her design, gameplay footage will come later. Season 3 already added Sagat, Viper and Alex. SF6 is available on PC (Steam), PS4/PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2 with Russian text.
