Frédérick Raynal

⚡️Frédérick Raynal, creator of Alone in the Dark, has launched a Kickstarter for a new title on the SEGA Mega Drive, PopCorn: Duel, and has already pulled in roughly half the funding.

The project reworks his 1988 PopCorn and ships three builds on one cartridge: PopCorn: Duel (new), a Mega Drive port of the original, and PopCorn 2026 (remaster). The headline tech is a physical PopCorn Spinner controller using Hall sensors (~4096 steps/rev) for true "infinite" rotation and an authentic ARCADE feel. 🌀

South of Midnight

⚡️WILD, South of Midnight on PS5 suddenly climbed the Metacritic ranks: the PlayStation build sits at 80.

The port to PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2, released on March 31, 2026, reignited interest in the adventure from Compulsion Games, which originally launched on April 8, 2025 for Xbox/PC; Xbox and PC versions sit at 77 and 75 despite no major technical differences.

Arena Breakout: Infinite

Arena Breakout: Infinite kicked off its fifth season, DISTORTION: a major update that flips the pace, with the standout being Distorted Valley, a map drenched in anomalies and supernatural effects.

Raids now grant unique powers (shields, temporary invulnerability, ally-based healing), plus dynamic events like a mystic bell and shrinking evac points that force constant adaptation. The update adds new modes, "Boss Gathering", "Masters Tournament", "Wastes", seasonal tasks, a rewards system and fresh weapons: T192, FAMAS and smoke grenades. One of the weirdest seasons so far.

PS Store

On the March downloads chart of the PS Store, Crimson Desert landed at the top, despite a mixed reception it still climbed to #1. It's loud, polarising and very much in the HYPE.

Sony's monthly lists come in pairs (left = NA, right = EU). The release shows side-by-side entries like MLB The Show 26 / Crimson Desert and Resident Evil Requiem / Resident Evil Requiem among many others 😏

Mundfish

⚡️ FINALE incoming: Mundfish announced the final DLC for Atomic Heart, "Blood on the Crystal" lands on April 16. The animated poster pits Major P-3 and The Twin against HRAZ and Facility 3826; devs stress no delays and promise this DLC will close out the first game's story with big set-pieces, major battles and plot answers.

Starfield

🎮 Starfield lands on PS5 on April 7, 2026, the trailer walks through the DualSense FEATURES that are fully utilized.

Adaptive triggers, weapon resistance; light bar, health indicator; speaker, voice logs; touchpad, quick access to the menu; modes: Quality and Performance, 60 FPS. Watch the trailer and ready your controller.

Counter-Strike 2

🔎 Dataminers digging through Counter-Strike 2 found a telling change, the Characters folder is now Agents. Coupled with the main-build rollout of Animgraph2, it points to a possible expansion of the agent system and new playable faces.

Reality check: files also suggest models from Danger Zone and heavy armor for Terrorists/CTs, previously ported and updated, probably won't make it into the current release.

State of Decay 3

🧟 State of Decay 3 is ALIVE, Undead Labs broke their silence and announced closed alpha tests kicking off next month. Sign-ups are open on the official site.

The alpha promises 4-player co-op, new base-building and resource-management strategies, bloody zombie combat, and adjustments made after player feedback from the previous game. Platforms: PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series. Text will include Russian localization. Release date remains unknown.

Nova Roma

⚡️ Nova Roma, patch 0.7.1866 doubles down on STABILITY with a hefty round of fixes.

Polish and QOL: added a health-issue finder, improved UI scaling and tooltips, and smoothed city management. Economy & logistics got tweaks (cheaper projects, carts & ships behavior fixed, buildings interact smarter, farm villas allocate residents correctly). AI/pathing and the fatigue system were adjusted, many bugs from map generation to stuck units were fixed, and devs say they reproduce issues from player saves to hunt down edge cases.
