Resident Evil Requiem

🎂 Resident Evil Requiem has passed the 7 million mark, game director Koshi Nakanishi shared photos of celebration cakes. HYPE.

Back in mid‑March Capcom reported 6 million, so roughly one million new players in about a month. Devs are working on a full story DLC (no details or release window yet). Our review rated the game "Stunning", praising the two‑fold design: Grace chapters = exploration and resource management, Leon segments = punchy action. Available on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Switch 2; Russian dubbing included.

Playground Games

🇯🇵 FINALE: Playground Games dropped the final episode of The Art of Driving, shining a spotlight on Forza Horizon 6.

Photographer Larry Chen and artist Inko Ai Takita take us through the Kanto region, neon Tokyo to the Hakone switchbacks, with the Nissan Skyline as the clip's hero, chosen for its massive tuning potential. The video wraps the Japan tour that earlier showcased Tohoku tracks and Kyushu scenery, serving as a tidy love letter to the country's roads and driving culture.

Baldur's Gate 3

😈 Big news for Baldur's Gate 3 fans, fan‑favorite Astarion is set to star in an official novel.

Apparently we're getting another tasty bite of his story SOON, which means more Astarion content is arriving earlier than many expected.

Bylina

🪓 Bylina by Far Far Games is a Diablo-ish Slavic action that sells its world and top-tier voice acting more than its gameplay, basically MEH.

You play Sokolik, who dares Koschei the Deathless, gets resurrected by a spirit and goes on predictable fetch quests. Combat is repetitive with almost no hit impact, tiny cursor, clunky gamepad-first controls, one unique move per weapon, thin magic system, fixed loot (no RNG), and curses every three levels that annoy more than add depth. A few bright moments, funny side quests, a falling giant opening a zone, but overall a middling action with great lore and weak mechanics.

NORSE: Oath of Blood

NORSE: Oath of Blood received a large performance-and-balance patch, but it's STILL not enough to pull players back, the game needs more work.

The update cuts combat stutters, smooths unit movement and AI, and speeds up UI hover response; the Frustration crash is fixed, action-point regen from kills is now limited to once per turn to stop infinite chains, and devs temporarily removed Shield Slam from AI. Also: buffs to some skills (bigger ranges, high-ground bonuses), graphics/UI/localization fixes, fallen gear returns in the village, and mission bug/balance fixes, yet Steam reviews remain "Mixed".

Band of Crusaders

📣 Band of Crusaders at the Second Wind Games Showcase: designer Tom and the team pitched the project as a story-first, choice-driven strategy-RPG.

They're deepening the narrative, pushing for a NON-LINEAR plot, and expanding lore plus interaction systems so player decisions carry real consequences and materially change how a playthrough unfolds.

Gears of War: E-Day

⚡️Insider TheGhostOfHope claims Gears of War: E-Day is slated for September 2026. Microsoft reportedly pulled the release out of October to avoid colliding with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4.

E‑Day is a prequel set 14 years before the Locust invasion, Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago are back. The Coalition is building the game on Unreal Engine 5 with support from People Can Fly; devs call it the studio's most ambitious and technological project yet. HYPE

Frostpunk

❄️ Frostpunk turns 8, the devs skipped the usual greetings and dropped a set of odd facts from the game's BRUTAL world.

The title has pulled in over 11 million players; in‑game temps can hit −150°. You can spot cats in the wastes, discover a hidden UFO in one location, and the studio even keeps a giant generator inspired by the game, a cult symbol for fans.

Avalanche Studios

👀 Avalanche Studios is hiring a senior technical designer for an unannounced AAA title: the job listing clearly mentions scripting events, working with editors and scripts, bridging teams and polishing mechanics for an open world.

This doesn't have to be Just Cause, the studio head hinted Just Cause 5 is unlikely, and there were rumors last year about its development being paused. The upcoming project MIGHT be a brand-new IP or a surprise return to older ideas.
