## Critical-path order
1. 1. USB/power for tracker & camera
2. 2. Close other camera-locking apps
3. Open VTube Studio → face calibration / tracker bind
4. 4. Check mirror/preview FPS
5. 5. OBS: avatar capture visible, no black frame

## Avatar app notes
- - Confirm API/plugin port & VTS version; after updates restart VTS before OBS.
- - Expression hotkeys - separate pass (see hotkey matrix tool).

## Tracking source notes
- - Lock exposure/AF or tracking drifts on mouth/eyes.
- - Camera at eye level; keep face brighter than background.

## 2-minute test choreography
- 0:00–0:20 blinks, head turns
- 0:20–0:40 wide mouth, smile
- 0:40–1:00 quick eye darts L/R
- 1:00–1:30 expression hotkeys (if any)
- 1:30–2:00 gameplay pose - hands occlude camera?

## If something fails
| Symptom | Try first |

| Mouth only / no blink | Recalibrate; check lighting |
| Drift | Reconnect tracker; lock exposure |
| Black in OBS | Capture source; OS permissions |
