The Occultist

Review: The Occultist sells a creepy island, cult mystery and detective setup, but big ideas stumble on modest execution 😐

You play Alan Rebels on deserted Godstone. The real perks are the pendulum talisman, ghost‑vision, scene reconstruction, crow and rat interactions, and some solid, nostalgic puzzles. Yet paper‑thin plot beats, shaky ghost AI, visual glitches and stuttering framerate make the scares feel MEH rather than chilling. Decent for occult‑case fans, not a genre breaker.

Going Medieval

⚙️ Going Medieval isn't done after launch, in the latest Medieval Monday Talks the devs said the game will keep getting content updates, improvements and fixes even after the 1.0 release.

The current push is on building, resource systems and settler behaviour: better pathfinding, smarter task ordering and clearer build/disassemble logic so NPCs stop getting stuck and wasting time on BUGS, some fixes are already available in an experimental build.

Konami

Konami and Annapurna Interactive handed the audio of Silent Hill: Townfall to Canadian composer Pilotpries, and released the full track Home. 🌫️

Snippets were used in the debut trailer, but the full piece is out now: the team is betting on slow-burning, oppressive tension where sound doesn't just support the game, it shapes the fear. New audio details only deepen the mystery around the project, and FANS are properly hyped.

RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike

🎰 A coin‑pusher roguelike has burst into Steam's charts, RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike (you literally throw coins to shove prizes off the platform), while the Resident Evil 4 remake has also climbed into the top‑10 by revenue. NEW

Peak concurrent players for the week Mar 31, Apr 7: House Flipper, 90,666, Hero Siege, 16,499, RACCOIN, 11,626. Steam Deck dropped out of the top ten; overall charts are still led by Counter-Strike 2. ⚡️

Aliens: Dark Descent

🎮 Aliens: Dark Descent now has full Steam Deck support, the entire campaign is playable handheld: lead your marine squad, manage resources and fight xenomorphs ON-THE-GO.

The optimization keeps the tension intact: controls, squad coordination and pressure-filled decision-making are tuned for a comfortable, portable tactical experience.

The Planet Crafter

🚀 The Planet Crafter received a huge 2.0 update, two years after launch: a full third‑person mode and a major visual overhaul.

They rebuilt vegetation, water, terrain and waterfall shaders, and skies now display terraform progress in real time. CPU/GPU/RAM optimizations improve late‑game stability; new zones on Prime (hidden biome), extra caves & aluminium deposits on Selene; fresh decor (showers, vending machines, aquariums, arcade cabinets), rover with a jetpack option, beds for rest/save, tighter building snapping, creature‑creator preview, and a quirky prison starting location on Toxisity. Star Wars Eclipse

⚠️ Star Wars Eclipse is STALLED: the Quantic Dream project announced in 2021 reportedly moves «extremely slowly» and remains several years from completion.

Financial and strategic strain after the NetEase takeover plus months of minimal progress mean that, despite a «significant part» being technically done, finishing the remaining content and polishing is proving hard. The game's future now hinges on the success of Spellcasters Chronicles (early access, February 2026), if it flops commercially, NetEase may cut funding, threatening Eclipse and the studio itself.

Crimson Desert

😳 WILD, Crimson Desert from Pearl Abyss is smashing engagement records

In US launch weeks average session time was 20-22 hours. The game ranked #1 on Xbox and #2 on PlayStation (only behind Path of Exile). For a single‑player adventure that's huge: fully exploring its world can take over 200 hours, and analysts expect this unusually high activity to stick and grow.
