Everwind

⚡️Everwind rolled out a major update, a big bugfix and QoL patch plus several system improvements that are currently in testing.

What's changed or incoming: crafting from nearby chests, block rotation in build mode and fast-travel nodes. Chest naming is live (names show on the compass), skill-reset potion accessibility was improved, runes rebalanced, ingot recipes added in-game, enemy resistances and drops corrected, some recipes reworked, and several staves/grimoires gained extra uses. Island Core UI got polish, building elements allow more direct interaction, and critical host/connection and multiplayer spawn bugs (including issues with large ships) were fixed. Bottom line, building and resource management get EASIER.

Last Epoch

Devs of Last Epoch dropped the lore for the new Omens in season four, Shattered Omens, void-born entities spawned from moments of utter despair 🕳️

Omens are tied directly to the Observer's descent and his transformation into Orobissa. Their arrival spreads hopelessness: nearby foes get buffed, they summon void beings and warp the battlefield. There are 4 variants, fire, ice, lightning, void, each rooted in tragic visions and bringing distinct damage profiles and nasty tactical headaches.

Rust

Big update in Rust: new build pieces, a reworked tech tree and a fresh power source, the water wheel that generates electricity from currents (freshwater output is steadier, ocean output depends on tides).

The Armoured Ladder Hatch arrived: an armored ladder‑hatch unlocked at the 3rd tech level, available in square and triangle shapes. The wheel can be placed in rivers or the ocean and, by abusing mechanics, players can force enemies to run in it like SQUIRRELS to produce power. Tech progression got QoL: pick any node and the game auto-unlocks required intermediate recipes, so progression is way simpler. WILD 🐿️

Morbid Metal

⚡️ WILD roguelike slasher Morbid Metal lands in Early Access on April 8, published by Ubisoft, developed by SCREEN JUICE.

Set in a bleak future: swap characters on the fly, chain unique abilities into brutal combos, and upgrade between runs, but death wipes the run's progress. Launch price is $13.49 (then $17.99). PC only on Steam, no Russian localization, demo available. Started as a university project, grew into a full game, get ready to tear robots apart. 🔥

Behaviour Interactive

⚡️ Behaviour Interactive says Dead by Daylight won't get a sequel, the studio will keep it alive as a service.

At GDC in a talk with IGN, Mathieu Cote and Dave Richard said they'll roll out updates, crossovers and gradual tech improvements instead of a new game: players have already invested time and money, the team doesn't want to split support between two titles, and big graphical/platform jumps could ditch users with weak hardware. They'd rather KEEP the current game running into the next decade.

Crimson Desert

🤯 Crimson Desert surprised the environment artist behind Red Dead Redemption 2, David O'Reilly says in his teardown that the game's water simulation looks, in many ways, better than the rivers he built at Rockstar.

He stresses he's judging as an artist, not a coder: the visuals show cascades, slow zones, pools and a tendency for water to seek horizontal equilibrium, behavior closer to real hydrodynamics. Rather than baked flowmaps, Crimson Desert uses a live sim reminiscent of FLIP, adapted for real‑time with a simplified vertical axis; Pearl Abyss hasn't revealed tech details, so O'Reilly's conclusions come from visual analysis, and it's honestly MIND-BLOWING

Starfield

🚀 Starfield lands on PS5 on April 7, Bethesda detailed the Sony edition. On PS5 Pro there are two modes: Visual, 4K / 30 fps, Performance, 60 fps (resolution TBD). Upscaling uses PSSR.

DualSense support: adaptive triggers convey recoil for personal weapons and ship cannons; the light bar reflects your health/ship status; the speaker plays audio logs and comms; the touchpad uses taps, holds and swipes for camera, map, scanner and to open inventory/quests/upgrade menus. The release also arrives with the Free Lanes update and a paid story DLC.

HYKE: Northern Light(s)

⚡️HYKE: Northern Light(s), the pixel action-RPG from Blast Edge Games has quietly landed on Apple Arcade on 2 April 2026. A top-down 2D adventure set in a world wrecked by a war between humans and witches: you play young witch Hyke, driving a van while searching for her mother. Came out with almost no announcement, subscribers got a proper SURPRISE 🎮

Gothic 1 Remake

Gothic 1 Remake has bumped its system requirements on Steam, the new specs are noticeably higher than the demo's, signaling a real graphical leap. BUMPED 😳

Minimum: Windows 10/11 64‑bit, CPU i7‑7700K / Ryzen 5 1600X, 16 GB RAM, 8 GB VRAM (RX 6700 XT / RTX 2070), DirectX 12, 60 GB storage; Recommended: CPU Ryzen 5 2600X / i7‑7700K, 32 GB RAM, 12 GB VRAM (RTX 3070 Ti / RX 6800 XT), DirectX 12, 60 GB.

Frédérick Raynal

⚡️Frédérick Raynal, creator of Alone in the Dark, has launched a Kickstarter for a new title on the SEGA Mega Drive, PopCorn: Duel, and has already pulled in roughly half the funding.

The project reworks his 1988 PopCorn and ships three builds on one cartridge: PopCorn: Duel (new), a Mega Drive port of the original, and PopCorn 2026 (remaster). The headline tech is a physical PopCorn Spinner controller using Hall sensors (~4096 steps/rev) for true "infinite" rotation and an authentic ARCADE feel. 🌀
