Steam Deck

⚡️Steam sales chart shuffled: the Steam Deck has mostly dropped out while Valve's new hardware, the Steam Controller, grabbed the top spot.

On the games side, Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era leads the list; Forza Horizon 6 still sells on preorders, Diablo IV remains in the top‑10, Windrose and PRAGMATA slipped a bit, and the ranking closes with Crimson Desert and Helldivers 2. WILD

ATOM RPG 2

⚠️No global map anymore: ATOM RPG 2, boosted by a successful Kickstarter, is turning into a full-on SANDBOX.

The sequel ditches the classic global map for a seamless world of 1225 km². Welcome to the Caspian Wastes, explore ruined locations, ride vehicles and survive with almost no loading screens. Developers promise advanced physics and deep environmental interactivity to deliver true player freedom.

Warframe

⚡️Warframe: STALKER's back, the big event "Belly of the Beast" is live until the start of summer for vets who've finished the main story chains.

Grab a special resource across three modes, from classic alerts to the rare chance to join someone else's session and play as STALKER. The fight centers on node Brutus, crawling with dangerous jade enemies; trade particles with Ordis for cosmetics, useful upgrades and limited clan mystificators. Community progress unlocks unique visual FX and pushes teamwork 👀

Game Pass

📅 Microsoft rolled out the Game Pass picks for May, part 1.

Coming to subscribers over the next weeks: Final Fantasy V, May 5, Wildgate and Wheel World (May 6), Mixtape, May 7, Outbound (May 11), Black Jacket, May 12, DOOM: The Dark Ages and Subnautica 2, May 14, Forza Horizon 6, May 19. Also scheduled: Galacticare, Go Mecha Ball, Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo, Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels: Championship and Planet of Lana.

007 First Light

🤫 Devs of 007 First Light admit building gadgets for a young James Bond was trickier than they expected, the project leans hard into realism.

Combat designer Tom Marchem says a lot of early concepts were cut because the devices must feel believable and not turn into CHEAT-BUTTONS. The team isn't ready to show those early sketches, some ideas would spoil too much, but basic kit is confirmed: watch, wireless earphones, lighter.

ARC Raiders

LEAK: a trusted insider spilled plans for ARC Raiders, a snowy industrial map designed for vertical combat, a massive levitating Frigate you can explore, and a beefed-up social layer. LEAK 👀

The tipster says developers plan a dedicated clan system (groups split by interests) and a marketplace at Speranza Piazza. Together these additions could push the project beyond a regular extraction shooter into a proper social platform with a living economy and complex player interactions.

Heroic

⚠️ Heroic is shutting its Dota 2 division, the roster was disbanded after a financial MESS: prize pools cratered, sponsors bailed and commercial efforts flopped.

CGO Robin Nymann admits Dota 2 is extremely hard to monetize. TI 2025 paid only $2.8M, costs keep rising. Players plan to stay together, but the Western scene looks foggy ahead of Valve's upcoming Deadlock

XDefiant

Can you REVIVE the failed shooter XDefiant? Mark Rubin, the ex‑lead, says it's theoretically possible 🤷

Rubin claims that firing up the servers would boil down to one thing, Ubisoft's will, yet the publisher is focused on other major launches. Closed in 2025, the project collapsed from lack of post‑launch content despite a loyal playerbase, so a comeback looks unlikely under the current release roadmap.

Helldivers 2

🌴 A fake travel ad landed in Helldivers 2: Super Earth Escapes is selling a "VACATION" on supposedly pacified tropical resorts run by Super-Earth's Managed Democracy.

It's presented like a legit tour agency, approved routes, strict rules, but the final pitch «book and liberate your next vacation» turns a getaway into another operation. Clear, darkly funny satire on militarized order and excessive control.

Star Wars Eclipse

Star Wars Day mostly FIZZLED, no big reveals for Star Wars Eclipse or new Jedi titles, leaving fans pretty disappointed.

The only active needle-mover was Bit Reactor with Star Wars Zero Company: a fresh concept art dropped and the team promised details "soon". A full reveal is likely at Summer Game Fest in June, so amid industry silence this tactic game became the main thing to watch. 😒
