Resident Evil Requiem

Producer of Resident Evil Requiem says the backlash to DLSS 5 is actually a GOOD sign: players defended Grace's original look 🤨

Masato Kumazawa explained NVIDIA's demo made the heroine more TOO GLAM and that sparked heated debate, proof the character already matters to fans. DLSS 5 was unveiled in March, rollout is planned this autumn. Jensen Huang calls it "neural rendering", but critics (eg. Respawn engineer Steve Karolewics) warn it can act like an over‑aggressive filter.

Far Far West

🤠 Far Far West just crossed 500,000 sales, and it's more than a milestone: the servers turned into a full-on cowboy ruckus with roughly half a million players roaming, dueling, exploring and spawning tons of player-made clips.

The devs say the result is "far beyond expectations" and thank the community for the clips and ideas; popularity brought bugs and server strain, the studio is pushing hotfixes now and asks for patience while they promise to squash the bugs as fast as possible. WILD

Resident Evil Requiem

🤦♂️ The Resident Evil Requiem producer has finally spoken on the controversy around DLSS 5.

Earlier this year NVIDIA unveiled an AI face system in DLSS 5 that was ROASTED by almost the entire internet, memes, mockery and hot takes flooded the web, and the producer's comment arrives amid that backlash.

Subnautica 2

🌊 Subnautica 2 hitting early access on 14 May sparked real industry chaos: indies started moving launch dates en masse to avoid getting buried by the hype.

To avoid clashing with Unknown Worlds, Outbound shifted to 11 May, which in turn pushed Farm to Table to 9 May. Classic PANIC in marketing, studios are reshuffling launch windows and promo plans so they don't drown in Subnautica's wake.

Diablo 4

Steam rating for Diablo 4 slid to mixed as players push back against aggressive monetization, pricey cosmetic bundles and blatant FOMO tactics 😤

Despite the Lord of Hatred expansion doing well and praise for technical fixes and seasonal updates, anger over old content being handed to new buyers and the game's economy drags the score down. Paradoxically, peak online topped 64k concurrent users, while Blizzard focuses on gameplay patches and largely shrugs off the complaints, WILD.

GTA 6

‼️ GTA 6 reportedly back in full-on CRUNCH, anonymous post on Glassdoor

A Rockstar dev claims many deadlines were cut in half, schedules went chaotic and late-night shifts became normal. Insider Ris Riley (Kiwi Talkz) confirms it and names Rockstar India as especially hard-hit. After the Red Dead Redemption 2 scandal the studio vowed to fix workplace culture, but the sheer scope of GTA 6 appears to have forced a return to brutal overtime and tight reworks.

Path of Exile 2

☠️ Grinding Gear Games stoked the HYPE with a grim teaser for Path of Exile 2: a bloody ritual, looming darkness and that unmistakable feeling that things already went sideways, classic series vibes.

Patch 0.5.0, titled Return of the Ancients, launches 29 May at 23:00 MSK. Expect a full reveal during GGG Live on 7 May, where devs will detail endgame changes and explain the teaser hints. There will be Twitch Drops, but the rewards are still secret. HYPE.

Diablo 4

⚡️Diablo 4 hit a Steam peak, 64,518 concurrent players on May 3, 2026, a week after the Lord of Hatred expansion dropped.

The surge is driven by a new story campaign, fresh classes and the launch of Season 13, which grants FREE content even to players without the DLC. Note: SteamDB excludes Battle.net and consoles, so the actual audience is much bigger.

Shirrako

👀 RUMOR: insider Shirrako claims Bandai Namco is allegedly working on full remakes of the entire Dark Souls trilogy.

The tip comes from an anonymous source inside the publisher; Shirrako doesn't have a proven leak record, yet the rumor sparked big debate: players want more than prettier textures, fixes for long-standing issues like the empty endzones in DS1's finale and some controversial sequel mechanics. No official word from the publisher; many remain skeptical and point out there's still radio silence on Bloodborne.

Konrad Tomaszkiewicz

⚡️ Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the lead behind Witcher 3, is prepping The Blood of Dawnwalker and says the modern scene feels like the early '90s, every title trying its own distinct thing.

He watches peers' successes and draws inspiration from Crimson Desert, Dispatch and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. In his view, it's the perfect moment for INDIE teams to experiment and push back against the big corps.
