Doom 64

💸 Doom 64 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein are suddenly going for dirt-cheap, classic FPS titles basically being given away in digital stores.

SNAG 'EM NOW: if you're after old-school gunplay, nostalgia and a cheap backlog boost, this is the moment, grab them before the prices go back up.

Samson

⚡️ Samson from Liquid Swords is gearing up for a content-heavy summer and a console launch in autumn, the roadmap is tight but flexible, being polished with player feedback. GET READY

First comes tech polish: on April 22 a patch hits to improve driving physics and combat, followed by two feedback-driven fix waves. May brings a major combat expansion, June focuses on vehicles, and optimization plus damage-balance reworks are top priorities before the console release.

Hello Neighbor 3

⚡️ Hello Neighbor 3 pre-alpha is live on Steam, tinyBuild opened testing, JUMP IN 🎮

The early build gives a hands-on look at core changes: new protagonist, updated goal system, expanded map with extra locations, reworked NPC behavior and improved stealth. Devs are collecting player feedback to see which mechanics land and polish the game before the full release.

Dizzie

From prison back to gamedev: Dizzie, creator of Fortune's Run, is BACK to development after early release 🔥

After a year behind bars he got PC access again and plans to ship v1.0 within 12 months. With his co‑dev gone the project will be trimmed for a stable release, extra content will be cut and the focus shifted to core story levels. During isolation he sketched a new roguelike on paper in C++; legal details are fuzzy, but he's determined.

Arknights: Endfield

⚡️ Big patch for Arknights: Endfield landed, At the Wake of Spring (released 17 April). It brings 3 new story chapters (Act II in Wuling moves toward its finale), a new area Marker Stone (four islets + a 4‑floor tower), boss Nefarith, limited character Zhuang Fangyi, the Lone Barge weapon and 17 new gear pieces.

Quick hits: region cap bumped 9→12 (wallet up to 14M), new acid resource and heavy xiranite chains, new turrets and phantom soldiers, extra terminals and tech tree branches. Also lots of events, plus a FREE 30‑day subscription that hands out 6000 gacha currency, boosters and double‑reward tickets. Combat has new boss mechanics, drones to unlock gear, and several QoL tweaks.

Silent Hill f

😳 Silent Hill f is a psychological horror that channels women's fears through the devs' firsthand experiences and a heavy, personal narrative.

You play Hinako Shimizu, a young woman in 1960s Japan torn between social expectations and new opportunities, the game refuses a single «right» ending: the ENDING depends on your choices. The studio (many women on staff) shaped the scares around becoming like your mother, losing friends and being tied to your hometown; those themes are shown via flashbacks and grotesque imagery, says director Al Yang.

Corsair Cove

🏴☠️ Corsair Cove, a pirate city‑builder from Hooded Horse and Limbic Entertainment, due this year.

You wash up after a wreck and build your Tortuga from scratch: place buildings on cliffs and sheer walls, set up long production chains (food, clothing, weapons, gear), and run island logistics with bridges and ropes. Keep your crew happy, simple RUM won't cut it as veterans demand comfort and rare goods. Captains sail on raids to grab rare resources; ship combat is turn‑based. PC only: Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store. Text translation into Russian promised.

League of Legends

The PBE just rolled out the battle pass for League of Legends, Season 2, 2026, and the community is pissed 😒

What triggered it: the pass now contains only one prestige skin, Shaco, while other seasonal skins were moved to the paid store, and empty slots were filled with demonic lootboxes. Reddit and YouTube are nostalgic for the old token system; Riot points to a shortened season (just 6 patches), but players say the pass lost real value, NOPE. On top of that, the March rework of Shyvana still hasn't fixed her core issues

inZOI

⚠️ inZOI will stay in Early Access until March 2027, according to director Henchzhun Kim.

In year one the game sold over 1.5 million copies but also saw hundreds of thousands of RETURNS; players criticise bugs, a 'soulless' feel and less depth than The Sims. Devs call instability normal for Early Access. By end-2026 they plan to expand work and education systems and add karma & prison mechanics; a PS5 port is in development and likely to launch with 1.0, Xbox plans unannounced.

1,000 respondents

⚠️ Skillsearch survey: among 1,000 respondents nearly half, 44%, seriously considered leaving the games industry after widespread cuts; in the UK 76% are already hunting for jobs outside the sector.

Over the last year 22% were laid off (another 12% earlier); only 35% of teams avoided layoffs. Almost half of those dismissed found new roles, but only 27% feel secure. AI anxiety: 64% fear damage to creativity, >50% use AI, yet only 29% say employers have clear AI policies. Workforce is ~74% men, mostly 25-44; 66% in permanent roles. CRISIS?
