Hearts of Iron IV

⚡️Hearts of Iron IV gets a new focus pack, Peace for Our Time, an alt-history take on Czechoslovakia.

Releasing 22 April 2026. Made with modders: players can cancel the Munich Agreement and REWRITE the nation's fate via branching scenarios. Included in the Expansion Pass or available standalone for 339 ₽

Battlefield 6

⚡️Battlefield 6 kicked off the limited-time event Operation Augur, a new namesake mode, linked maps and fresh hardware.

The fight for the satellite defence network unfolds across Contaminated and Hagental Base: open-field clashes with VL-7 tactical smoke, then tight mountain-base CQB, proper MAD combat. New APC LTV functions as a spawn point, ammo resupply and on-field healer for a four-man squad; melee Ripper 14" joins the arsenal. Extra battle-pass rewards are live.

Dragon's Dogma 2

Capcom's blunder: a short LEAK on Steam exposed an internal Dragon's Dogma 2 build of 77 GB, nearly 12 GB of new data, roughly the size of an Elden Ring expansion. The extra gigabytes were swapped for tiny tech files, but the hint remains: despite Hideaki Itsuno's exit, Capcom looks to be prepping a full narrative expansion. Fans are now eyeing the summer showcases. 👀

007 First Light

IO Interactive is clearly on a roll, 007 First Light has hit 3 million wishlists in about six weeks (partly boosted by reward incentives).

Launch date is 27 May 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic), PS5 and Xbox Series; the Nintendo Switch 2 edition was pushed to summer. Expect an interactive spy intro with semi-famous actors and visuals on the level of Crimson Desert. WILD 🔥

Ubisoft

🌧️ Ubisoft pulled back the curtain on Anvil using Assassin's Creed Shadows, the first dev video dives into Atmos. Atmos is a real-time weather system: instead of baked presets the engine calculates temperature, humidity and airflow on the fly and decides whether a spot gets rain, wind or clear sky.

Wind drives the core flow sims that shape clouds and precipitation; the particle system respects collisions and carries droplets across geometry for natural results. The same wind data feeds cloth and hair animation, foliage behavior, sound and lighting at once, so weather plays as one coherent system, not a pile of separate VFX. WILD

Resident Evil Requiem

Daddy Leon's charm did the trick: Resident Evil Requiem is now the most-completed game in the franchise 🤯

Steam reports about 70% of players reached the credits, PlayStation sits at 66.9%, while Xbox, absurdly, at 90%. Alinea Analytics credits a smaller but more devoted Xbox install base. For context: the RE4 remake, 53%, RE Village, 48%, Clair Obscur, 40%. WILD

Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard

🎧 The main theme for Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard is composed by Yoko Shimomura. The released ~5‑minute track opens with familiar "vampire" motifs, then quickly flips into a high‑energy, Japanese‑styled run that ditches the gloom.

From the clip it's clear the spinoff of Vampire Survivors is betting as much on a punchy, memorable soundtrack as on its oddball gameplay, DAMN, it slaps.

Grim Dawn

The devs of Grim Dawn just revealed the bleak lands of Fangs of Asterkarn, brace yourself, this is INSANE ☠️

You'll pass the sealed stronghold Kurnhold, the ruined Utak Kunara haunted by wights, the blood-soaked Wastes of Horror corrupted by the Great Destroyer, then face the Black Citadel Tamarog and climb An'Shalar. Key events unfold there, but the plot stays locked until release, players will uncover Asterkarn themselves.

No Man's Sky

🚀 No Man's Sky is approaching its tenth anniversary, but porting updates to handhelds is far harder than it looks: as Martin Griffiths, a programmer at Hello Games, explains, adapting builds for Nintendo Switch, its successor and Steam Deck takes 2-3× the engineering effort compared to PC and consoles.

Still, the studio keeps pushing, the game has received over 40 major updates (including 14 in the last two years), from Worlds Part 1 and Worlds Part 2 to Voyagers and Xeno Arena. The team ships content for all platforms simultaneously, and honestly, the devs are MIND-BLOWN by the workload.

Outbound

🚌 Cozy road‑trip sim Outbound has been pushed to 14 May, it was originally due on 23 April.

Developers Silver Lining Interactive and Square Glade Games found a late-stage bug that could've seriously wreck players' first impressions, so they bought extra weeks to fix it. The DEMO is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox until 12 May. Full launch will be on PC (Steam, Epic), PS5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch 2; on Steam Outbound already has > 1.4M wishlists. Expect an open world and a customizable van with modules, crafting, tech, base life and decorating.
