Combat was reworked for the new tempo: turn frequency follows initiative, faster heroes can act multiple times per round, slower ones act less or even skip a round; speed is affected by dexterity, armor type and movement effects. Drinking potions and swapping weapons count as free actions, but only one such action per category per round (no chugging two potions at once). Damage was buffed by 35% to speed fights up. You can pick turn‑based at a new playthrough or toggle it via settings, hotkey, or the UI button.
